The probation officer and an accompanying Marion County Sheriff’s deputy paid Christopher Owens, who turned 32 that day, a visit at his Allen Lane home in Kimball at around 4:00 p.m. on Monday.  When they searched his bedroom, they allegedly found the homemade bombs. Owens, who was convicted of committing theft over $1,000, was home with his girlfriend and a child  The police chief said that the devices, which were filled with black powder, were not that potent. “I don’t think they were powerful enough to hurt anyone else, but they were a danger to the people in that home,” he said. Owens was charged with eight counts of reckless endangerment because there were eight people living in the home, Allison said. In addition to reckless endangerment, Owens was charged with felony possession of a firearm, kidnapping, domestic assault, possession of explosive components and drug possession, according to Allison. source: News9.com A young man has been rescued after becoming trapped about five metres underground in Melbourne’s north-west. Emergency services were called to Lincoln Street, Essendon, just after 2.30pm following reports of a trench collapse. The contract worker was completing underground maintenance on a sewer system in the street, when one of the internal walls fell down on him.He has been taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, but his condition remains unknown.  “He was up to his neck (in dirt),” Commander Guy Mccrorie from the Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) said. Dozens of firefighters and police worked to free the man, giving him an oxygen mask during the ordeal. 

Some Security researchers at Bkay have managed to fool the iPhone X's Face ID developed with an advanced facial recognition engine using a specially-developed mask. The outer "skin" of the mask was handcrafted by researchers at Bkav, before being laid upon a 3D printed frame. Other facial features, such as the mask's eyes, are merely printed images. In total, the mask cost around $150 to make, although the materials used to make the frame weren't included in that cost because it was printed from the company's own designs. The dummy face was made in just five days - Bkav starting developing the concept on November 5th and completed its experiments on November 10th, posting a video to show the iPhone X unlocking when the face is presented to it. An office building in northwest suburban Schaumburg was put on lockdown late Tuesday morning. Police responding to a report of a man with a gun in the 200-block of Martingale Road are on the scene, securing a perimeter. The business complex located at 200 N. Martingale Road is on lockdown while police investigate. No shots have been fired, police said.

The Secret Service was notified to be on the lookout for the man who had "reportedly traveled to Washington, D.C., for the purpose" of carrying out the alleged threat, according to a statement.  The Secret Service said they were tipped off by Montgomery County, Maryland, Police Department. The suspect, of Dallas, was taken into custody and charged with making felony threats. He was not armed with a weapon at the time of his arrest.
